Preparing Your Manuscript for Submission

We realize that when preparing a research manuscript for publication, details are important at Writerrr. Taking the time to follow the journal's guidelines before submitting a manuscript can help to facilitate a smoother and more efficient editorial and peer-review process.

Authors are invited to read the aims and scope of the journal, the author guidelines, and the policies of publication before sending their manuscript.

General Requirements

  • The submitted manuscript should present original research that has not been published elsewhere.
  • The manuscript should not be under consideration by another journal at the time of submission.
  • The research should be relevant to the aims and scope of the selected journal.
  • All authors should have made a meaningful contribution to the research and agree to the submitted version of the manuscript.
  • The manuscript should be written in clear, professional, and understandable English.
  • Authors should ensure that all information, data, references, tables, and figures are accurate.
  • Any required ethical approval should be obtained before conducting the research and clearly mentioned in the manuscript where applicable.
  • Authors should disclose any potential conflicts of interest related to the research.
  • All sources used in the research should be properly acknowledged and cited.
  • Manuscripts should be checked for plagiarism and should meet accepted standards of academic integrity.

Manuscript Structure

The requirement of the chosen journal will determine the structure of the research paper, but generally, authors are encouraged to follow this structure:

The specific structure may differ for each subject area and requirements of the particular journal.

Manuscript Formatting

Authors are advised that before submission they should ensure that:

  • The manuscript follows the formatting requirements of the selected journal.
  • Headings and subheadings are clearly organized.
  • Tables and figures are properly numbered and referred to within the manuscript.
  • Images and figures are of suitable quality and clearly presented.
  • References follow the citation style specified by the journal.
  • The manuscript file is prepared in the required format.
  • Author details are provided separately when required for the double-blind peer-review process.

Submission Process

Step 1: Choose the Right Journal

Check the journal's aims, scope, subject areas and recent publications to see if the research is appropriate for submission.

Step 2: Prepare Your Manuscript

Write your research article following the directions for authors and formatting of the journal.

Step 3: Check Your Manuscript

Check your manuscript for language, formatting, references, originality, ethics and completion prior to submission.

Step 4: Submit Your Research

Send your work to the appropriate journal using the journal's submission process.

Step 5: Editorial Screening

On receipt, the manuscript will first be judged by the editorial staff for its basic requirements and scope of the journal.

Step 6: Peer Review

Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial screening process may be double-blind peer reviewed; the identity of the authors and reviewers are not revealed during the review process.

Step 7: Revision and Final Decision

Manuscripts may be sent back to the author(s) for revision as a result of comments from reviewers and/or the editors. The final decision will be sent to the corresponding author.

Step 8: Publication

If a manuscript is accepted and all the necessary publishing procedure is finished, it will be published following the journal's publication schedule.

Ethical Responsibilities of Authors

Authors should ensure that they:

  • Submit only original and unpublished research.
  • Avoid duplicate or simultaneous submissions.
  • Provide accurate and reliable research information.
  • Properly acknowledge the work of other researchers.
  • Obtain permission to use copyrighted material where necessary.
  • Declare conflicts of interest.
  • Follow appropriate research ethics and ethical approval requirements.
  • Cooperate with the editorial team during the review and publication process.
  • Respond responsibly to questions or concerns regarding the published research.

Before You Submit

A quick checklist for authors — please be sure that your research paper contains the following:

  • The manuscript fits the journal's scope.
  • The research is original and has not been published elsewhere.
  • All authors have approved the final manuscript.
  • The manuscript follows the journal's formatting requirements.
  • References and citations are complete and accurate.
  • Tables and figures are properly labeled.
  • Ethical approval is included where required.
  • Conflicts of interest have been disclosed.
  • The manuscript has been checked for plagiarism.
  • All required files and author information are ready for submission.

Upon completion and after reading and complying with the requirements of the appropriate journal, a manuscript may be submitted for publication.
